About
What SleepUncovered is, and isn't
SleepUncovered is the sleep reference the internet doesn't have. Every article opens with the answer in the first sentence, shows the evidence behind it, and tells you what doesn't work. No wellness fluff, no affiliate-distorted supplement rankings, no “ten tips for better sleep.”
What this site is for
We're trying to be the resource someone actually links to when a friend asks “why can't I sleep?” — not another site that buries the answer in 1,500 words of preamble.
Our audience is adults who are sleeping badly, don't know why, and want straight answers. If you came here looking for bedtime affirmations or a list of crystals to put under your pillow, this isn't the place.
How we work
- Answer first. The first sentence of every article is the answer. The rest is supporting evidence and context.
- Evidence ratings. Every health-related claim is tagged Strong, Moderate, Limited, or Emerging based on the underlying research.
- Real sources.Studies are cited with author, journal, year, and PubMed ID where available — not vague appeals to “the science.”
- No supplement affiliate distortion. Our supplement verdicts are determined by the evidence, full stop. We currently have no affiliate links on supplement pages.
- Updated when the research moves. Pages have last-reviewed dates and get refreshed when new evidence changes the picture.
What we won't do
- Recommend supplements based on commission rates.
- Fearmonger about sleep — sleep anxiety is a real problem and we won't make it worse.
- Treat sleep tracker readings as if they're medical-grade data.
- Tell you to “just relax” without showing what actually works.
Who's behind this
SleepUncovered is an independent editorial project. Articles are written and reviewed by the SleepUncovered editorial team. We're working on adding named author bylines and professional medical review — we'll publish those details on this page once they're in place.
For now: the content is built around peer-reviewed research, cited transparently. If you find an error, please get in touch— we'll correct it and credit the catch.
What this site isn't
It isn't medical advice. Read the medical disclaimerfor the full position. If you have a serious sleep problem, see a clinician — we've written a clear guide for when to do that.
